5 new item types that measure nursing clinical judgment will appear on the Next Gen NCLEX.
1. Extended Multiple Response
2. Extended Drag and Drop
3. Cloze (Drop – Down)
4. Enhanced Hot Spot (Highlighting)
5. Matrix/Grid

The NGN will introduce new scoring measures: by giving partial scores for items with multiple points
This means that partial scores will be given on SATA questions versus the current incorrect/correct scoring method.
